In the AV30R Operating manual I can read this (pag 10):

    advanced digital signal processor
The AV30R features the Analog Devices’ 32-bit 66MHz ADSP-21065L SHARC Digital Signal Processor.
    turbo power option
The AV30R has been designed to accommodate the new 'Super' Sharc ADSP 21161N, when it becomes available, quadrupling the available computing power.

Any one know any thing about this?

Originally it was designed to be upgraded in a similar way to the AV32RDP, so that it could handle the more processing intensive audio formats. But Im affraid I very much doubt that will happen now

Yeah I got to see the VP2048 in the factory AV room before it was scraped, I also got to hear the F1 600w monoblocs.

    TMA helpdesk answer:
"Thank you for the email, it is good to hear from you.

The option that you mention was initially planned for the AV30R, however it was found that the AV30R did not have the power supply capacity to run this extra processing power.

The AV32R had to have a major change to its power supply to accomodate this leap in processing power but this was not unfortunately feasible."

Udo always said that the AV30 would have very limited upgrade potental, that being one of the major differences between it and the AV32R. I don't find it at all surprising that the later sharc won't be made available to the AV30. I often wonder why the AV30 made it to the market at all really.....

I also remember the VP2048....... Never heard the F1600M though....
