Wowzers, if Eidos’ work on ROTTR and Hitman for the One X are anything to go by, this should be amazing having been developed with the Pro and One X in mind!

More of the same please, the reboot of the franchise has been fantastic. Both of them have been incredible games.

    Please no!
As good as they were, they were paint by numbers type of games.
They both followed the same formula of a remote island/location with a secret army/faction as your enemy, and even the ending followed the exact same path.
Climb a large structure to meet the final boss.

I'd like to see something a little different.

    Intricate puzzles.
Wild animals to face off against more often.
More than one location. Maybe even some place in a city.

If this third game is just like the first two, it could fail drastically.

Hmm, so basically old formula tomb raider? I loved both the re-boots but have to admit, I'm not sure a third just like them will hit the spot.

However, realistically they aren't going to change the formula after the last two games both sold incredibly well.

I never really played the originals.
A bit of one of the PS1 games, but that’s about it.

The trouble is, if they stick to the same formula as the previous two games it’ll just be stale.
They need more variety other than abandoned facilities built near ancient ruins on remote islands.

Something along the lines of hidden ruins/cities under a major modern city, but mix it up with several locations so you can still visit more remote locations as well.

    Just throwing ideas out there.
They can't just do the same thing a third time.

Many other games have done it for years. Assassins Creed, Fifa, COD etc and they sell a bucket load. So i'm sure they will stick to the winning formula they seem to have for this now.

I actually don't mind the new format although I do have fond memories of the tough puzzles. So making it a tougher puzzler might be good but no doubt its going to be a lot of the same, I'll certainly buy it if it is.

I’d be delighted if more of the same albeit in a different location obviously.

The trouble with tough puzzles now is everyone can see the solution on YouTube. Think that's devs building these games aren't prepared to sink loads of time into complex puzzle systems because they know the enjoyment and satisfaction people used to have working out how to solve them, largely doesn't exist anymore.

Not sure thats a very good excuse not to do them TBH. You could say people put the endings on YouTube so no point making the game.

Don't get me wrong I agree with you. Puzzles is what the original games were about. But I think devs feel generally that there isn't the same culture for puzzle solving anymore.

Having said that game of the year had some nice puzzle elements to it.

The people who want the puzzles will not be youtubing how to compete the puzzle they will want them to complete it properly

I picked up TR Definitive Edition, and Rise of 20th Celebration edition, in sales ages ago but never played them. I completed (the main story line, not 100%ed it) and really enjoyed Definitive edition on Friday. Yesterday I started and got quite a way into Rise of, will probably finish it this week, of Sea of Thieves doesn't big all my attention. Now I'm really looking forward to Shadow of.

This along with Odyssey and Fh4 plus RDR2 is going to make the end of year expensive.
