    1) Landline telephone number. Make a call to check out the area code and number are correct too!

    Hello,

Purchased it as a stock HP machine and then upgraded the:

CPU from the stock Pentium Dual Core E5400 to the Q6600 Core 2 Quad
Upgraded the memory from its original 2GB to 8GB
installed the HD5450 PCI-E graphics card

According to the HP website it was new 08-03-2010 so its almost 3 years old.

    Thanks,
    Michael

Am I right in thinking this doesn't have any pci-e slots?

    Thanks for the speedy reply.

    A couple of questions;

How many HDD slots does it have? Looking to add an SSD
What size is the PSU? Do you think it would handle a slightly more capable GPU
And what socket is the motherboard?

    Thanks,

    Hello,

It has space for 2 hard drives (standard hard drive bay plus the front accessiable one which can be used to hold a hard drive or SSD).

The PSU is the original HP one, its only 240w but should be able to handle something slightly more cabable as long as it does not require external power.

    The motherboard is socket 775.

    Thanks,
    Michael

Nothing upgradable on that one of mine by the way. It's too small for it, think acer revo size.

The machine that gamersaregood is flogging is basically the same as a 8000 elite sff and the power supplies are proprietary. They do do a more powerful 320W as mentioned on this post with various links - HP Communities - How big a power supply can I put into a HP 8000 El... - Enterprise Business Community

We've got a load of the 6000's at work with an additional graphics card in and 2 hard drives raided and the PSU's cope fine. Got at least 3 with XBMC on that play all day, one 24/7 with Sky News on and its got the stock 240W PSU in it, more than adequete. Quite enough too, as long as the graphics card is.
