Several From The Garden

Just been seeing what's new and colourful in the garden today and this is what I found:

Welsh Poppy

Daisy

Spanish Bluebells

Forget-Me-Nots

Berberis

Arisaema Costatum (Bizarre!)

The enemies taking shelter

Sorry if there are too many, I couldn't help myself! :D It was pretty windy too by the way.

I also think that the forget-me-nots is the nicest shot. I think the Spanish bluebell shot could be cropped a bit more to emphasise the bloom in focus - but I would not argue the point that strongly.

The Daisy and Forget-me-not are the best in my opinion.

Should I be worried about losing the original ratio of the picture?

That depends on what you use to crop, PSE 5 or 6 (amd maybe earlier versions) allow you to maintain the original shot's ratio. But sometimes you are better off using a free crop, cropping does not alter ratio - you jsut cut to the square or rectangle that you feel best suits the subject matter. I you have any concerns, make back-ups frist.
