    New system Panasonic tx32pd50
    Pace Sky box
    Panasonic Dmre55
Aeriel booster/splitter to send tv and sky on loop round home

I gather from these forums that the best setup is sky>dmr>tv in a loop as only one of the sky scarts is rgb which scart socket on tv do I then use or can I use the component outputs from dvd

Secondly with my old system I could watch a video in another room by means of the rf out on the video going to the aerial booster , I cant get this to work with the dvd recorder ,does it output via this method when hooked up via scart or component as well

getting a very sore head puzzling over it

I assume your tv has component input for prog scan, if so then if it's possible I would say that the best option would be:
sky (rgb) > dmr (rgb) >tv (via scart for watching sky)

and if possible also connect component output (3 x rca/phono sockets) from dmr to tv for watching dvd's. Although I don't know if it's possible/practical to have both connected at the same time.

As for the RF I thought that this signal is normally 'passed through' and is independent of the other connections.

The E55 does output via RF. You have to have it enabled (I can't remember if it enabled by default), to do this hold the function key down until the correct menu appears.

Thanks for the advice I'll give it a blast
Tv does have component inputs and I think it can be hooked up as suggested
as for the rf output I'll have a deeper delve thru the menus to check that

Thanks for all the help on rf output problem now resolved by holding down function button for 5 secs and selecting an output frequency
The system setup I'll have to leave as is until I branch out into surround sound as component inputs don't carry audio so one of the two scarts on the dvd needs to carry the audio to av4 on telly and there doesn't appear to be an optical in on telly
