I purchased my first 4K player today and so I'm really trying to sort my movie settings out but so far I'm having mixed results. Does anyone have any settings I can try for this particular model? I know Movie is the best setting but Standard almost seems to make some scenes look better.

The 4K player I bought was the Sony UBP-X700. Blade Runner 2049 is the 4K disc I'm using to tweak my settings at the moment.

Also, for what it's worth, I also play a Playstation 4 Pro. I'm not so particular about the game settings though.

Thanks for any help, much appreciated.

I would firstly follow this guide:

    Picture Perfect Step 1

and then use the settings shown here:

Samsung MU6100 LED TV Calibration Settings

I think settings are subjective though based on your room conditions as myself, contrary to most to guides, actually prefer the 'STANDARD' mode (sharper picture with scenes that stand out more) as opposed to 'MOVIE' mode (softer picture). I also like the 'Soap Opera Effect' too (google it if unsure of the term) - which make scenes look more 'Live'......!

You can even try some of the settings here, to see which you like best:

    Dropbox - Calibration settings.pdf

    ;)
