Hi just recently bought a bluray player and I'm trying to understand the setting so that can get the best possible sound for my 2 channel speaker setup.

My Bluray is connected to the TV via the AV reciever HDMI style.

    My Sony BDP S1100

    DOWNMIX

with this "Downmix" setting (Surrond OR Stereo) I've left it on surround even though I have a 2 channel setup becasue I somehow think that I will lose some of the dynamic information if I put it on Stereo...is this true? IS is better to leave it on Surround even with a 2 Channel setup. My Reviver says "2 Ch Downmix" on the front panel though...

    DTS Neo:6

I have this setting ON by default which is Cinema. Something though tell me I should switch this off especially if it degrades the DTS-HD MA audio in any way..! Can anybody confirm?

advance thanks for any help given

With down mix try both, it will mean either your receiver or bluray player are doing the conversion.

Dts neo 6 is for stereo sources and should be turned off if you only have a stereo setup.
