    Hi all
Is it possible to have different settings saved for each input e.g. dvd input via dvi should have prog. scan and sky+ via scart should have pixel plus.
This is to save having to change from one to another when changing input source.
    Thanks

For the examples you have given, just leave the Pixel Plus2 on all the time. It helps improve the picture through all the inputs.

However when watching HiDef via DVI at 720p or 1080i the Pixel Plus becomes redundant anyway as the TV is running at native resolution, so the PP2 has nothing to improve!

Jimmy, does that mean that the pp2 setting is better quality than progressive scan ?

For reference - Pixel Plus 2 is an option at 576p and 1080i, but it is disabled at 720p. There is a subtle difference in picture quality. I leave PP2 on all the time.

Sorry for not answering sooner, I've been outside watching the Northern Lights! Fantastic display of what mother nature can do when she's in a good mood!

The PP2 just takes whatever picture is being displayed and improves it. Progressive Scan is the best analogue input available and produces a fine picture with nice smooth movement. The PP2 just further refines and interpolates this signal, to produce a picture very similar in quality to pure digital 720p.

So, to answer your question. Yes PP2 seems to improve PQ on all inputs.

Sorry to seem such a dummy but how do I know whether I'm in 576p or 720p and is it selectable?
If I select either Prog. Scan/movie Mode or pixel plus it just seems to stay in that mode whether I'm watching sky+ or dvd.

Press the info button ad it'll tell you what mode you are in. ie 576p. Just select PP2 and leave it!
