I've just got myself a new Yamaha DVXS120 all in one system. Sounds great when playing a DVD. However, I want to know how to set it up to hear sound when watching tv programmes. Has anyone got any tips? At the moment the TV & DVD are connected via a scart lead and I have phono out plugs from the TV. According the manual, these should go into the DVD video in? But nothing happens - no sound. Any clues/help anyone.

    Thanks

Have a good look at your system setup manual. You might find that you have the option to input audio from the tv either by scart ( assuming your tv scart does audio out) or phono. Also what tv you got as some sonys you have to switch the speakers off to activate phono out
