Setting up Sky

My elderly father moved into a flat yesterday which has a communal dish. On the wall he has sockets for the aerial and ones that say Sky 1 and Sky 2.
Do i need some sort of cable for both of these ports into the back of the Sky Box or just one and is it a Coaxial cable i need?
Many thanks

You need 1 - F-connector to F-connector lead from the socket on the wall to the dish input on the Sky box if it is an older non-recording Sky STB and 2 leads if it's a Sky+ box.
Make sure the Sky box power is switched off at the mains socket before you screw the lead/leads in.
If it's a standard Sky box the signal should appear within a few seconds after you plug it in and press the Sky button...if it's a Sky+ or Sky+HD box switch on the mains power but wait 3 minutes before pressing the Sky button to give it time to initialise.

Is that different to a Coaxial cable then as thats what Sky told me i may need and they're about £20 from Maplin?
Although he has a Sky+ box he doesn't use the recorder so can i get away with 1 lead or still need two?
Thanks
