Setting up new Sony KLD-26S2010??

I have just bought a new Sony KLD-26S2010 and I am a little disappointed with the picture quality. But I read on the web site I bought it from some reviews by others and they said "spending time setting it up makes a fantastic difference but the operating instructional manual is not very good or helpfull" I have had a go and improved it some what but feel some professional advice would get me there sooner and better than me spending hours on trial and error. Is there a best way to approach it?

Hopefully

I posted these settings (page 64) in that thread:

Here's what I have currently:

Backlight - 3
Contrast - 70
Brightness - 56
Colour - 40
Colour temp - neutral
Sharpness - 10
Noise reduction - off
Advanced - all off

Light sensor - off
Power save - off

Another guy posted very similar settings. Give it a try as a starting point.

I have also noticed an improvement in PQ in the first couple of weeks of use so give it time to bed in.
