Hello,

I am trying to integrate the 409W replacing the existing sub in my Alumni 5.1 set up - all connected to Onkyo 606, but seem to be lacking any sort of punch.

Currently have crossover set at 100hz after running audysey - but so many variables in amp set up as well as sub itself has left me a bit baffled!!

Any help/guidance on settings would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Anyone?

I would start by reading this:

Make sure your speakers are set to small. Have you tried raising the crossover to 120hz on the receiver and trying that for a while? Make sure the crossover on the sub is disabled or turned all the way around so that the receiver controls the bass managements settings.

There is a dedicated subwoofer subforum which is also worth checking out as that is where the sub experts hang out.

Thanks for that Dave - will give it a try and let you know how I get on.
