The issue of making a copy is still not yet very clear to me.

Yesterday I recorded a film from TV to my harddisk in XP.

Question 1: Can I copy this on DVD-R but in SP ( XP won't fit) , using high-speed dubbing ?

Question 2: Is there a way of dividing a film automatically into chapters ?
( for example pieces of 5 minutes )

The only reason of creating chappers is to be able to browse quickly in a film.

1 No. High speed dubbing produces an exact copy, so the mode stays the same.

2 Dubbing at normal speed: chapters are created automatically when you finalize (at about 5 minute intervals). Dubbing at high speed: any chapters you have created are retained. (I think - assuming the E500 behaves the same as the E85.)

    Great ! Thanks Maldonian !

The manual in Dutch is not always perfect translated, so sometimes some issues are not very clear...

But in general ( it's my first recorder ) this Panny is not too difficult to use and the film-quality is great.
