The front end of my A/V system consists of DVD player only (i.e. no other inputs). I am using component cables to connect to the projector directly.

However, reading the instructions for my processor it suggests that I run the component from DVD to processor and then out to the projector. Is this necessary/desireable if I only have one input? Do I lose quality if I run through the processor first?

I assume it would only be necessary to run through the processor if I have more than 1 input for my system. Or am I talking rubbish!

    Cheers

A direct path will always give the best quality signal.
