Forgive me for asking a question that has probably been asked 1000 times already. But when I get my new Panasonic TH37PA20 tomorrow do I have to set the contrast/brightness low for the first so many hours or is it ok to just proceed untouched?

Also, Connectivity. I have a DVD, Amp., Xbox and Sky + to link up. Would getting S-Video leads be neccessary or can I just use standard scarts?

    Cheers

There are several settings for PQ. Normal, dynamic etc. Use 'Normal' and keep the contrast down to a bear minimum for the first 100 hours. Take the brightness down a notch too. Out of the box it's whacked right up. Even with low settings I get a great picture out of mine. You will not be dissapointed.

    Cheers

Cheers kace, just read another thread about using the Xbox on it as it will burn the logos onto the screen. Does anbody else use their xbox on it with problems?

I strongly recomend getting a set up disc such as digital video essentials as it makes a huge difference to the picture quality.

And where can I get that from? How Much is it? And do I need to install that before I switch the TV on OR can I use the set-up disc at a later date.

    Sorry for all the questions.

    Cheers

    Pete

you will need to remember that is the PAL version of DVE and you will need a NTSC version of the same to disc to calibrate it for NTSC assuming you view R1 titles etc
