Hi guys,

Have just brought a Yamaha HTR-5640RDS and need to know what to set the impedance selector to for a pair of DM601 S2's. They say maximum 8 so i'm not sure. Do i set it to 4/8 or 8/16?

Just leave it set to 8ohm regardless of the impedance of your speakers. The only reason amps have such switches is in order to comply with the UL/CSA regulations in the USA. The switching simply reduces the rail voltage and this in turn can cause clipping and damage to speakers. The switching wil not result in better audio or audio performance, in fact in will result in the opposite and could potentially damage your speakers.
