do you mean for a 2nd hand one? They are rarely available as such because very few people get rid of them.

Well i ordered mine today and according to their computer there is 7 available in the warehouse and another 5 out in selected stores.
So i just hope that my order was one of them 7, or i dont know how long i will have to wait for it.

As for 2nd hand prices...i'm not sure....but if it is not as good as the sub i have already, i will be putting mine up for around £350......couple of days old and the normal richer sounds 3 year warrenty+buy back price.

One of the major drawbacks of the Servo 15 is having to deal with Richer Sounds as they seem to be absolutely clueless judging by the amount of Servo 15 stories doing the rounds. Matt F ordered his a few weeks ago and is staill witing for delivery.

Incidentally, a 30% discount for a two day old sub is too much and if you get rid of it straight away I would ask for more than £350. I would suggest that for an almost new Servo 15 you could probably get £450 for it

    That's right I am "staill witing" ;) - actually, that's a gone-off fish spelt badly isn't it?

The problem with Richers is that although the guys in the branches order them, they don't necessarily turn up - so they re-order them the next week and then they don't turn up again.

My advice is to give them a couple of chances and, if it doesn't show up, insist that they give you their central customer service number and take the matter up with them. Unlike the guys in the branches, they have the time to get things sorted out.

    Matt.

Id agree with matt....... mine was 5 weeks until i insisted that they gave me the head office number...... that was enough incentive that the store guys rang the warehouse and gave them an earful..... arrived 2 days later.

i might sell 1 of 2 servo's, if the price was right but have no warranty although i have never had any problems and have instructions and x30. i hate dealing with richer sounds and spent weeks trying to order a cherry finish only to be told it was a misprint  (thanks for info might keep for now might make a good px when someone else sells a decent processor.)

I don't think that reliability was the issue that we have been led to believe. There have been two or three people complaining that their Servo 15s either exploded or caught fire but oddly enough they are all now "guests" and all of their posts were made from behind anonymous proxies so read into that what you will

We haven't heard of a dead Servo 15 since Harold Corbett's caught fire, nearly caught fire or exploded, depending on which posts you read

As an existing Servo 15 owner who has also heard my SVS you seem remarkably confident that the Servo 15 is going to lose :D

I think that SVS do appreciate all the marketing effort that I have put in here on their behalf and as a token of their appreciation they sent me an SVS T shirt.

Unfortunately it would have probably looked large on the Incredible Hulk but we have found an alternative use for it instead as the family are going on holiday inside it.

If anyone sees an SVS T shirt pitched on the beach in the South of France, you will have found our holiday hideaway.

I've re-arranged my room for the arrival of this servo-15 which, after listening to it at Matt's, is probably going to be bought sooner than I had in mind...

You know your mind's been consumed by A/V when you start re-arranging your room's furniture around your subwoofer :)

hehe, I'm soooo close to buying another......

Dunno how much benefit I'd get adding an additional one into a 7' x 17' room...

    hmm decisions...

    Do I buy:

    a. Another power amp so I can use Logic7 on my Lex (currently only running 5.1)

    b. Buy a HCPC (currently using skyworth 1050p)

    c. Buy another Servo 15 (silly price, in stock)

    d. Buy any combination of the above plus a BFD

I had a chat with someone from richer sounds today.......
I asked why have people been waiting weeks for there sub, if they have them in stock.
Why it is that someone that ordered theres the same day that i did, was told that they had no idea what stock they had.

When i told him what sub it was, he said "That is a very rare sub now and difficult to get hold of".

I asked why they had 7 in the warehouse and 5 in selected stores....he said that the 5 were prob already sold and the 7 in the wearhouse are prob damaged/returns.

So i then ask...."when do you think you will be getting another shipment in"
Answer was " We wont get anymore of them.......they are OLD servo technology........why dont you have a nice MS 909 sub with the new Piston Technology".

I asked if servos are old hat....why are they still making them and why do they put them in £2600 subs( HGS18 ).
His answer was...." well that is a high grade sub, with a higher grade servo".

So it looks like i wont be getting my servo15 and they aint ganner be getting anymore.
I aint ganner give up just yet thow....i will be on the phone again tommorrow and try and see if these 7 in the wearhouse are duffers.

I very much doubt they put "damaged" stock on their computer system.
