How do I access the above. The usual Sony I+, 5, VOL+, TV doesn't work.

    Thanks,

    Ian

Try holding the Channel +/- buttons down on the TV set while turning on the TV.

Nope, that doesn't work either. I've also tried hopping whilst slapping myself on the back of the head with a wet fish ;-)

    Regards,

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Obviously those Fish(y) fingers you have :)

A little search came up with this possible command. i+, 5, vol+, TV

Where TV rather than being the power on button is the TV text button (white TV symbol).

I'm surprised the TV set command did not work. The TV has to be OFF rather than standby. Mine would not go into service mode the other day (probably something to do with the way I exited the menu last time in) using TV box commands I had to press the channel- button again once the TV came on (picture).

Hi Ian K. I too have this model.
To get into service mode you need to do the following,
    1. Put the tv in standy mode.
    2. Press the following combination on the remote control:
    i+
    5
    Volume +
[ ] Blank square box usually on the top of the remote control.
This should give you access to the service menu and the tv should display TT.
To exit service mode, key in 00.
    Hope this helps !
