I was round at my friends today and he kept going on about this speaker he got, a bass one that he called the service fifteen. He turned it on some dance track and it was loud, then he turned the volume up! The whole room was vibrating and with the cup in my hand I could feel the water in it move. I want one of these, how much are they? £200? £400?

You probably mean the Paradigm Servo 15.

It's an excellent subwoofer but unfortunately isn't really available in the UK anymore.

The SVS PB10 might be a good option for ~£350. If you just want loud bass that makes everything in the room shake then I'd suggest trying to find a second hand Paradigm PDR12 which shouldn't be more than £150. The Mordaunt Short MS309 won't shake the room quite as much as those already mentioned but would be a good compromise and they're quite cheap at the moment - around £200 from some online outlets IIRC. :)
