Calibrated the old skool 5.2 system today and sounding pretty awesome.
A few more finishing touches to be undertaken over the next few weeks as delays in the speaker grill fabric for the subwoofer doors. Downlighters to be properly fitted and I will post the finished pictures.

How come you got rid of atmos speakers? I used your old room set up as part of my inspiration!

We just wanted to simplify the room as it’s a small space and removed the false pillars for the surrounds. This also meant not able to create a base layer for the surrounds as we wanted to hide all speakers.

The room is used for TV viewing and casual movie viewing.

I spend every day with Atmos systems in our showrooms or client installations.

How does that ceiling system work?
It reduces the RT of the ceiling whilst the fabric hides speakers and gives a crisper finish than a plastered and painted ceiling can.
We install this system in both residential and commercial applications in any colour or print finish and can also include back lighting abs fibre optics.

Hi Rich, do you have any reading material on it? Sounds like something I'd be very keen on for my living room, now that the wife has aired the idea of redecorating to better suit my new system...

Would a fabric ceiling not be a dust magnet and a right pita to clean though?

Another cinema room underway. Installing our custom acoustic starlight ceiling into this challenging space which will also assist with the acoustics of the room. This garage conversion will feature an M&K Sound IW150/X10 5.2.2 loudspeaker system, an ultra short throw Optoma projector, Anthem MRX1120 AVR, HCM seating and custom cabinetry.

Works are underway in my own personal media room.
We’ve installed the bespoke cabinetry which is awaiting the doors for the V12 subwoofers.
This room doesn’t have any of the speakers on show using our acoustically transparent stretch fabric wall and ceiling system.
System equipment consists of the following:
M&K IW150 LCR
M&K IW950 in ceiling surrounds
M&K V12 subwoofers
Lyngdorf MP40 processor
Yamaha amplification
LG 77” OLED TV
Control4 automation
Light acoustic treatment applied to ceiling to remove reflection as a very small room.
