We have also been commissioned to design and install a fantastic 7.4.2 Steinway Lyngdorf Model S cinema this autumn.

This is going to be a very special and unique cinema. We will update thread once works are underway.

MK IW950 installation update.
We just need to have the cupboard doors made, two with acoustic cloth for the subs, install some Rock Wool, connect everything up properly and dress the room.

That looks great. :) The LCR and surround grilles virtually disappear against the walls, I guess the ceiling ones will be finished in white later on? I guess that is a 'top middle' and 'top rear' set up in Atmos terms? Probably not a million miles from what I'll be doing too.

It's actually TF and TR. A little compromised with the TR as sofa against back wall. You can't run TR and TM together.

Yes the in ceiling grills will be painted brilliant white.

Thank you.
The custom unit is open backed to the false wall so any heat will rise and dissipate into the pelmet. No cooling required. Only the AVM60 and Sky Q box get warm.
The Lyngdorf SDA2400 power amps run cold and require no ventilation.

The front wall doesn't need any Rock Wool, hence warm air can circulate, as it is very solid being constructed with 20mm MDF with lots of batons. The IW950 are an enclosed design too so very little sound transmission and will be crossed at 80hz.

The subwoofer enclosures are reinforced using double MDF and will be treated with Rock Wool slabs.

Ahh, ofcause! It's look very nice!

I imagined almost the same solution like this. Just with v12 sub and anthem 510 :)
I got an lexicon amp but are afraid for the heat(i have not a false wall like this).

That looks really really good. Thought you were mad to sell the 300's but I see why now - and for a living room install they make perfect sense.

Exactly and thank you. Once cupboard is finished and room dressed, rugs down etc it will look even better or that's the plan.

Very discrete no compromise system.
We didn't install IW300's as this system is perfect for a typical living room powered by a receiver.

It's OK, the 300s went to a good home. ;) Those IW950 are really impressive from what I've heard of them as surrounds. I still find it amazing that the MK inwall speakers don't seem to sound any different to the on wall ones.

System running in after ARC calibration. Sounds awesome TBH.

Doors and final tweaks being sorted this week. Sony Z9 picture is quite stunning. Blacks are black.

Control4 going in imminently.

It's taking rather longer than anticipated as we've had to fit it in between installations but we will be available for demonstrations here from mid November. Please do get in touch if you want to here this IW950 Atmos system.
