SERIOUS Warning for those with Ubisoft UPlay installed

Apparently there is a really nasty security flaw in UPlay that can give your machine complete access to someone else:

It is recommend to disable the Uplay Plugin in your browser.

The only Ubisoft game I have installed is Rayman Origins but that's DRM free.

Might explain why their service has been down so much recently with littler or no communication....too busy putting their fingers in the dyke etc.

Still, they really need to get rid of all this crap so we can play our game's.

I'll be downloading pirated versions at this rate just so that I can play the game's I have bought and payed for.

Ubisoft are unbelieveable.

And if you don't get how bad this is. Click here (as long as you have uPlay installed). Don't worry it's a not virus, it just a safe example of how bad this is.

It's been fixed already. Run any game that uses Uplay and it'll automatically update. Any sites calling it a "rootkit" need to read what a rootkit actually is though, because this isn't one.

Technically it's not a rootkit. But it does allow for RCE.
