There is a serious flaw with the Playstation.com voting polls. Even the ones with forum users. This flaw not only gives Sony and its forum users inacurate results but also allows anyone to abuse the system by voting for any option including an option that this person or persons know would be the worst choice for the Playstation brand.

Also a large group of indiviudals mainly a mixture of including but not limited to Trolls,Anti Sony fans, Xbox 360 fans,Sony Haters, who band together can easily abuse the voting system by voting for one choice in these large groups and because this number increases dramticly this means that the votes for these choices get counted and trusted to be legit when in fact they are not.

There are ways to stop individuals with malicious intent who purposly go over to Sonys website and vote for the worst things that they know will cause Sony problems by making bad deccisions and trust votes that are inacurate.

One way would be to make it essential for each voter to answer a few questions that way if any questions or a multiple ammount of questions do not get answered the moderator on sonys website can reject that vote or each other votes that come in that fails to meet the above criteria, this will prevent large groups of malcious people from voting for options that they know are unpopular with the Playstation Fans and its brand.

Sony right now are giving themselves finacial loss with this flawed voting system and unless they tackle it you will only see more inacurate results and unreliable voting polls.

If you dont agree fine but even the most biased skeptic out there can go over to sonys site vote for anything and not be questioned on it and be allowed to vote for options that they know would make Sony unpopular with its fanbase.

Look at the threads where people can just make them and that anyone can vote for any option no questions asked.

When Sony has voting polls open from time to time they have this flaw to.

    Understand?;)

    Oh dear.

The top 10 most popular features on the site you're talking about are: -

    01 - Cross-game chat
    02 - PS2 backwards compatibility
    03 - Auto-syncing trophies
04 - Press PS button on notification to read message
05 - Separate PSN logins for each player
    06 - Arabic language support
07 - Make PS2 games downloadable in the PSN store
    08 - MKV support for the PS3
09 - SOCOM II remade in HD
10 - Cloud storage for game saves

    There's 3 points I would make: -

    1. The top 10 features include things that would genuinely improve the PS3, including things that you have whined about on here time and time again (backwards compatibility, for example). It also includes some of the best features of the 360 that are only present on the 360, so why "fanboys" would want another system to have some of the best features of their system is beyond me. There is no evidence that "Sony haters" and "fanboys" have had any noticeable impact on this list.

    2. Of the top 10 features, Sony have only implemented 2 of them - number 7 and number 10. Therefore, it's not like they're implementing features based solely on what are the most popular anyway.

    3. You need a PSN account to vote. Yes, anybody can make one, but Sony will also be able to tell who is an active PSN user and who isn't. If you don't have a PS3, there will be no activity on your PSN account for instance.

If your past posts are anything to go by, you will already be convinced 100% that what you're saying is true and nothing that anybody says will make any difference, so I've probably just wasted my time, but you've certainly wasted yours.

On the Playstation forums? Fair enough, I doubt Sony take much notice of them. It would be a bit cheeky of their marketing people to use the forum in this way anyway. IMO, it's just a bit of pointless, harmless fun.

There's a voting/polling system built into AVF, that's open to abuse too but generally no one worries too much about it. If you know it can be skewed then you tend not to trust it 100%

Thats the crazy thing about random public polls. Random public people vote.

Just because the results dont favour your chosen outcome doesnt mean they are tampered by fanboys etc.

Actually my choice of having every game be native 1080p isnt there. Damn those 360 fanboys to hell!!!!!!!!!

Not another one ;) Why do you think Sony are so daft that they can't see things you can?

All public polls are subject to people making daft votes. It's factored in. It's just market research, they don't take it as gospel. They're not going to implement something just because a poll suggested it might be popular.

That top 10 looks very realistic and full of things that I would expect to see in such a vote.

What exactly is wrong with it?
