seperate speakers near DLP tv?

    is it ok to put seperate powerful speakers close to my DLP TV? i know this can damage conventional CRT TV`s. :lesson:

    As long as the speakers are magnetically shielded then it should be fine.

    but doesnt a DLP work more like a LCD than a CRT?

    There's no magnetic effect whatsoever on a DLP RP, LCD direct view, LCD RP, or Plasma direct view.

    Only CRTs (direct view or RP) may be affected by magnetism.
