I am taking my laptop in next week for its MOT so to speak.I sent a email to confirm this to the shop I use but when I checked the email was in the sent box but also appeared in the inbox exactly the same message.Have never seen that before can someone explain what has happened.

Do you have conversation view enabled?
If so this keeps all the conversation together and can get a bit confusing, so I always disable it. However I use Office 365 for work and it needs to be disabled for each folder (PITA) rather than being a global setting.
