    Hi guys,

Ive had these MX400s for a while now and was interesting in getting some in-ears that provide more bass and top-end clarity. Is it worth trying the MX500s or are these not really going to sound much better than my 400s?. If not, which ones should i go for, bearing in mind i dont wanna pay £50/60 for shures.

    tia,

    Andy

Yeah might as well, what with a couple of quid in it

I have the MX500. Certainly better than the stocks that came with my Sony DNE10 (CD) and Sony HD3 (MP3). Fuller, clearer and better range, especially in the highs

Granted its not as good as my canal phones, but great for price <£20

I thought MX500 is the same as MX400 but with the inline volume control? The bass on the MX500 is not fantastic so suspect they'd be no benefit even if they are different.
