    Hey :)

I'm looking for an HD700 that hasn't been modded. They will be sent to an acoustic-engineer on Reddit who measures headphones, and corrects their frequency-response to the Harman target. He makes his EQ corrections public, you can see them here: Dropbox - Reviews & Measurements - Simplify your life

So it will also benefit other people too.

The pads must be in good condition, as flattened or ripped pads have an impact on the frequency-response.

    Location: Shropshire

    • Landline telephone number. Make a call to check out the area code and number are correct, too
    • Name and address including postcode
    • Valid e-mail address
DO NOT proceed with a deal until you are completely satisfied with all details being correct. It's in your best interest to check out these details yourself.

I have a pair, boxed and hardly used. They are out of warranty, purchased here almost new from first owner and have been packed away pretty much throughout my ownership.

When I received they looked new and have remained this way.

I would be looking for £180 plus whatever the actual postage costs are via your preferred method. They can also be collected from Bedfordshire just off junction 10 of the M1 or I travel into west London daily so could meet up somewhere along the way.

    Regards
    Brian

The sale has fallen through. I didn’t want to accept PPG from a zero feedback member (no offence meant) but was happy to accept PPG, BT or meet up in person. Despite my high feedback and long trader history strangequark did not want to risk sending me payment by PPG.

As I have boxed and packaged I am going to list on that place I prefer not to and buyer accepts the price offered was a good deal lower than recent Ebay purchases.

We both lose out which is a shame but I am a lot more cautious nowadays.

No offence taken, and I totally understand. I too am quite cautious, so I guess that's why the deal fell through! I linked my eBay account though, so it might be "zero feedback on here", but I'm definitely not new on eBay (500+ feedback).

As stated in my message, feedback makes no difference to me when payment is made with PayPal Gift: I'm still handing over money to a stranger based on a promise, and that's something of a gamble for me!

And frankly, I don't think that's how things should be done.

If you offer to buy anything in the future please make it very clear before proceeding that you’ll only pay via PayPal (not gift) as I doubt you’ll get many people accepting your offer and saves all this hassle!

That's true. There are quite a few forums where PayPal Gift is forbidden, which is understandable given the nature of it, so I was surprised to be asked to send money that way. I didn't know this forum is more open to it.

It's a tough one because eBay/PayPal are biased towards buyers in disputes, and it's abused by some people, so I can see why some sellers would want payment as a gift. But I can't hand over money to a stranger based on a promise that they will send what I paid for, and will be as-described. Feedback can give some confidence, but I know from my transactions on eBay that's not always enough!

I fully appreciate what you’re saying mate but as a long standing member and trading moderator on here and long standing user of eBay I can assure you this forum is a very different beast to how eBay etc operate.

This forum is tightly moderated and not full of waifs and strays like eBay is plagued with. The feedback system on here actually allows you to leave negative feedback so if someone on here has a good feedback history then you can pretty much guarantee they’ll be a genuine trustworthy person.

I appreciate any online transaction carries risks for both the seller and buyer hence why you want to use standard PayPal to alleviate that risk to you but then leaving the seller open.

Obviously you’re more than welcome to use the forum to buy/sell however unless you manage to secure a deal locally I very much doubt anyone would be willing to take normal PayPal as a payment to a new 0 feedback member on here.

    Good luck with your search
    All the best

That's a good point. I have sent eastsoutheast a PM. I will send payment via PPG assuming the deal is still available (sorry about this!). I still feel anxious about sending money that way, but I guess it's not too bad given their feedback, and I have to start somewhere :)
