Would consider the 580s. What's your offer?

It's had a new headband padding piece, drivers are perfect, earmuffs are a tiny bit dusty, cable is in good condition, no box, how does £105 posted sound ?

I'd probably go for it at £80.

Make it 90 and we have a deal subject to a final inspection and test by me here ... Not used them for a long time.

Thanks for the offer, but I'll stick at £80. Especially seeing as I may get the HD600s as well.

I have had the 580's from new in 1998!

As a tip, the Lehmann headphone amps make them sound amazing. I bought a new pair of 660's today from Amazon, reduced to £305.

Are you selling the 580s?

Hadn't planned to. Got new ear pads and new headband pad too.

I suppose I should consider it. The other member's offer of £90 is quite generous.

Hi, I replaced the cable on the HD600s last year and they were fine, just tried them and not working again. If it changes I'll let you know but as it stands I'm not prepared to put my name to them. Sorry to mess you about.

I may be interested in buying them as spares or repairs.

I’d sell mine for £100 if that helps. It would be a very reluctant sale mind.

Did you ever have an issue with the connectors? The 580's suffered with those ridiculously small springs that can create a loose connection. I still have the original lead for mine and have never upgraded it. Do you think a new lead will solve that problem? I think it was a case of those metal pins needing to be a bit longer?
Mine started playing up a bit before Xmas, but since I unplugged them and put them back in it has stopped. I can remember them doing it within the first six months of purchase in 1998!

Good information to have, but could you stop using my Wanted thread for these discussions. 👍

After having a few issues getting these working I swapped the cable for my HD650 cable and all fine, swapped back all fine, unplugged multiple times all fine, HD600s have been running for 6 hours all fine.

I am prepared to let these go for £125 collected.

just to clarify these are very good condition with pads and headband that are as new. They come with both inner and outer box. Cable has both large and small connectors.

Hi John. Thanks for the offer, hopefully there is some negotiation to be done. I could bring £110 to your door tomorrow evening. How does that sound?

Hi, that’s interesting, I thought I’d pitched them very competitively.

Tell you what, I’ll do £120 as a final offer.
