watched the shooter last night.

anyone who thinks they don't mind judder then try watching the opening scene to this film.

Swapping for an EP10.

Looking to purchase a projector that accepts 1080p/24 and displays it at 24hz or 48hz and not 50hz or 60hz:nono:

I assume the EP10 will have the same update as the HD-XE1 and ouput 1080p/24??

That's what Toshiba tells us -- probably by the end of September.

I think Tosh said December at the recent IFA HD DVD press conf.

No, I think they said all HD DVD players would be capable of outputting at 50Hz by the end of the year.

I don't think this has anything to do with the 1080p 24 update.

According to this German site AreaDVD the 1080p 24 update will be in September, the HDMI HD audio bitstream output upgrade in October and the 50Hz in December as mentioned.

I'd translate it for you but it's late and I have had a few.............

EDIT: IT MENTIONS BOTH THE EP-10 AND XE1

 Sorry misread it as "to the older models from December"

"16:12: Talks about firmware release schedule. 24p being added to the older models. From December, all HD players will be able to replay 50p. (This means that European-originated HD shows will not need to go through a lossy standards conversion process to be released on HD DVD)."
