    Hi Chaps!!

It is with heavy hand and heart that I write this message. My beloved Seleco seems to have developed a fault. The picture on the old beastie has decided to scramble itself as if it was not synch'ing but this occurs on the OSD even when there is no signal going into the PJ (eg. Menu's impossible to read even when an input with no signal is selected.

The unit is a Seleco SVP 350+ HB if anyone is interested. Really appreciate any help or suggestions anybody may be able to offer.

    Thanks again,

    Rob

Sounds like everything is going ok up to the sync converter, so I'd check aound the sync converter, which is the module sticking up near the back of the green tube and look particularly at the white ribbon cables which go between the mainboard and the deflection board - you may have a dry joint somewhere, so try giving these a wiggle and/or the sync converter to see what happens.

If you need any bits I have a 400HT for parts if they match.

Not sure if I am in the right place, I'm looking for a manual for the Seleco SVP 350 plus, it came with a pub that my brother-in-law has taken over but he is unable to use it without the manual. Any help would be very greatly appreciated

Thanks guys  I'll try giving it a wiggle now and report back what happens (hopefully not 50,000 volts down the back of the spine :D ).

Just wanted to say that all your help is, as always, gratefully appreciated :smashin:

PS. Check your PM Susie. 350 manual ready and waiting for you.

    Cheers,

    Rob

    Hey guys!

It just started working again (for now  ). The PJ Gods must have been angry with me. I'd just given my widescreen TV to my girlfriend and would have been left to watch bigscreen movies on the computer monitor  . Thanks everyone for your help. I'm off to watch "Land of the dead" before it changes it's mind again

    Cheers,

    Rob
