Anyone have any ideas on the second hand value of F1 speakers?
Based on other high priced speakers I'd say about £10-12,000 from a dealer if in mint/superb condition, boxed etc. Private sale probably a little less. Of course any unique one off finish might raise (or lower) the asking price. I have never seen a pair of the F1 advertised for sale secondhand and I've only ever seen 2 pairs ex-demo.
I saw them at least three times for 10k Euro (all three pairs were located in Germany, if I recall it correctly)
Only, speaker without grilles... I will never understand how can someone make such a decission (to produce speakers with no grilles) They should have put a big plate on them with printing "not for a families with kids" or at least "we do not want to sell a lot of these"
Same goes to Focal-JMLAB
I would have bought Alto utopias long time ago if only they had grilles
Having a look at www.audio-markt.de
A dealer lists a pair for €19000 (~£13k)
And yes Miron, its the thought of kids messing with them that scares me, just had first baby and there suddenly seems to be lots of other peoples children running around the house.
If you do plan to sell these, you'll need to see the forum rules re sales and advertise in the appropriate area.
