Hi, I have a quad lnb installed on my sky dish and I have one amstrad digi box connected. Am I right to presume that if I purchase another digi box and connect it to the dish I can have sky in another room and be able to watch different channels to the original box I have?

Something tells me I will probably have to purchase another card or something? are these available? what are the cost implications?

    thanks for any advise!

Yes just use the spare LNB output and suitable cable.
Without another smartcard this new digibox will be fine for FTA channels, there is no official source of FTV cards so that means no ITV1, CH4 or Five. You can take out the mirror subscription which for £10 a month gives you a second smartcard with the same channel package as your original smartcard, both boxes need to be connected to the same phone line.
