I had an hour to kill last night so popped up to my local airport. It was cloudy & I didn't expect much but as I arrived at the airport the cloud broke where the sun was setting. I tried three times to get a plane landing in the sunset & only after I ran halfway down the lane I'd just come from did I get a nice shot. Unfortunatly it wasn't a big Jet but beggers can't be choosers.
    Hope you like them.

Cool sunset. Obviously #2 is the best one there. Makes me want to be on that plane.

Yup, really like the second one too.

What is the "searchlight" though? Looks like a shadow but seems very strong. Intersting effect though.

    Cheers.

A small cloud passed over the setting sun & the shadow it cast, to me, I thought it gave the effect of a searchlight. I took one picture of a plane landing but he was too far to the left from the sunset, so I ran down the lane & the next one was closer but not close enough, so I ran further down the lane risking everything as there was no path & had to jump up into the hedge to avoid the cars & the last one was the result. Thanks for your comments.
