No matter how good it is or how many fantastic reviews it gets, i just can't bring myself to pay blockbusters £4 to watch a film about a person and their horse...

Mind you, if you do a search for the same thing on kazza or similar...

    Can i get a reeeeee-wind?

What the fridge is a seabiscuit anyway?
Sounds like something that refuses to go away no matter how many times you flush!

I agree with you ELV - I went to see the film with my dad cause he's a massive horse racing lover aka Gambler :) so I wasn't really looking forward to the film to be honest....

BUT it was so GOOD! Like you say the story, acting and especially the fill good factor...left me smiling when I left the cinema! I thought the direction, particularly on the races was excellent and the bass when the horses came thundering past the camera is one I can't wait to recreate here at home!

Whats in a name ? Want a good film for crimbo? Go buy. I could think of a lot worse ways to spend 16 quid.

Seabiscuit is a folk legend in the States so it did huge business over there, but the film has been poorly marketed here. A huge pity as its a terrific movie. Go see.

Why does Toby shout out the same "Woohoo" in this film as his last one? I expected him & the horse to start swinging between buildings in a spider-suit.

Yes, shouting for joy as he rides the horse IS in the script, but using the exact same tone as he did in Spiderman was weird. I think he is a better actor than that.

Don't worry he didn't do too bad. There are other things than Kazaa that I can't mention because they are illegal.

    Saw it tonight,

A beautifully crafted film, a story of shattered life’s and second chances. One of the best films i’ve seen in a very long time.

Should have won best adapted screenplay at least.

To my mind a far better film than ROTK. [As much as I enjoyed that film]

They will look back on Seabiscuit in years to come, when the effects on Rings begin to look tired, and wonder why it never won an Oscar.

i bought it a couple of weeks ago - fantastic movie!! I was at work the other and recommended it to a punter who ytold me he wasn't going to watch a film about "Dobbin". He took home Steven Segals "belly of the beast" instead!!!!

    There no accounting for taste.

This film is a classic and must be in your collection

They actually made the horse races really exciting and the LFE effects were great

    And its a true story

I rented the dvd last week, this and Second Hand Lions are the two best films I've seen for a long time.

They still can make great movies without spending millions on CGI when they want to but unfortunately not very often.

The Seabiscuit DVD seemed quite patchy regarding the image quality it was qutie noticeable on my PJ, anybody else noticed this.

    Klippie.
