Yesterday installed my new Sweetspot SDI card - again well done to the guys for instant delivery.
Card is working fine, just wondered if there was a "correct" choice for input when using it. there's no SDI choice, but there is PDI. Actually they all seem to work , so maybe it doesn't matter.

    Hi PhilipB
This is being worked on - in the meantime, as you say they all show the same picture. Just to be on the safe side, use the PDI input for the moment.
We'll post on here when we release a SDI WDM driver (at the moment we're using the SweetSpot driver, but this is fine)

    Cheers
    Alex

I'm using the SDI Silk card option, it works fine. Although I did have to switch back to an old version of DScaler (4.0.1 I think), the newer version I had had was doing something really screwy, it kept falling into and out of film mode.

    Thanks for that guys.

BTW, are there any recommended settings for dscaler knocking about? for the Sweetspot card taking RGBs from Sky box, amd/or for SDI from a Denon 2900?

when you say settings? do you mean video settings or general settings.
I haven't got the video settings to hand (the settings in pms' custom dscaler are a great starting point).
For other settings use the Y/C shift filter if you've got the horsepower (the sky planner is fine for setting this up)
    All other filters off
Deinterlace use Mocomp2 - change search effort to suit your cpu.
No need for judder terminator if your running a refresh with a relationship to the source.
I use auto film detect and search and lock mode.
There's also a setting deep in the settings menu that activates auto format detection for PAL/NTSC switching.

    Hope that helps
    Alex

That's pretty much what I'm doing. Just wondered if i was missing anything.

I've played with video settings but the defaults seem to be the best.
