SD video on HDTV panel

Hi all, I have a fairly simple question for those having a SD camcorder viewing their videos on HDTV panels, LCDs.
My question is how an SD resolution video, 520 horizontal lines will be displayed on 768 and/or 1080 resolution TV ?
Is SD video going to be bad on HD panels ?
Thanks for any ideas.

No

I have 1 ( or 2) HDV camcorders which I play on 2 HD LCD panels .( a 19" Samsung and 32" Phillips)
Via component and DVI as HDV, and AV ( composite) as SD

The HD output is obviously much better but viewing as SD via composite isnt that bad ..compared
I Imagine the display will scale SD to its native resolution ( hopefully well) as it does , Freeview, Terrestrial, Sky and SD DVDs .
