SD Subscription with SkyHD Box

Hi all.

Just wanted to confirm something.

I have the chance of getting a SkyHD box but only have a standard sky subscription with a single cable feed coming from the LMB. Will the SkyHD box work with this config?

In theroy yes it will but you will only be able to record to the hard drive the channel you are watching.

Ideally you should replace the lnb on the dish from a single to a quad lnb and run an extra cable to the HD box second input. Then when you replace the box with the HD box you will need to go to the installers menu, do all the setups etc and call sky to pair the card with the box. As you are a subscribing to sky you will get the sky+ recording facilitly for free but sky must enable it then you can record one channel whilst watching another providing you have the two feeds running to the HD box.
