The SD slot on my Wii is really poo. Put the SD card in and, unlike cameras, it just pushs in. Trying to get it out is a nightmare! On a camera you just push it in again and it springs out but on my Wii this doesn't happen. Anyone else have this problem?

Lol, I was thinking of asking that but thought I'd leave it to someone who might have more tact.

I took mine straight out of my Casio camera... full of photos, popped it in to the Wii, went in fine with a satisfying click....

error message - sorry this card cannot be used (or something like that)... no idea why, its not corrupted, as it works fine in the camera, and works fine in a card reader on Mac and Windows... im quite puzzled.

It maybe because your camera has formatted the card, the pc might be able to read it but the Wii might need to access data straight from the card rather than naviagte folders.

I have no knowledge of the Wii yet and I'm just offering an opinion.

You can use the SD card for loading pictures onto the Wii to look at in the photo channel, I believe it also lets you playback quicktime movies as well from the SD card.

You don't need an SD card for game saves as the Wii has 512MB built in.

There are no black Wii's available in the UK yet (or anywhere else I believe) I guess it'll be summer at the earliest before we see them here, but more like next winter.

No thats pretty much what I was thinking actually :) I will wait until I have emptied my current card and transferred the pics to my computer and then I'll go about experimenting with it.

may be that the wii doesnt support you memory card, your mem card has a folder the wii cant access or the card may be in a format the wii doesnt support

There won't be any other colours than White for a while, as soon as a green one's out there, I'm getting one.

Right im not familiar with SD cards but thought id have a peek seeing the misses has the work digital camera at home.

I took the 512 card out of the camera but it was slightly to big for the Wii slot

Are there differant size SD cards or is it the case that the camera doesnt use a standard SD card?

Sorry if it sounds silly but like i said im new to the world of SD cards
