Can anyone say for sure whether SD is better on Panny PE50 or PV500 - or the same?
Before i bought my PV500 i saw both screens side by side in the Panasonic shop in Brighton. The PE50 seemed a tad better with SD. However, the PV500 was the best picture i have ever seen on any television when fed HD.
I thought it was, that's why I bought a PE50
well the pe50 must be one heck of a picture, as i am constantly amazed by my picture on the pv500, watching lost the other night and was blown away. v. happy. but then i am not a v. discerning plasma owner .... ignorance is bliss
Couldn't see any difference between the 2 on SD.They both looked fantastic with Sky.
Further to my previous reply, the PE50 i saw had been a display model for some time but the PV500 was very new. Perhaps the PE50 edged it in view of the number of hours that it had been used ? The picture quality on my own PV500 has improved considerably the more it has been used. Geoff.
I saw the 2 side by side at a shop@panny being fed freeview through scart and the pe50 was, without any doubt, giving a smoother more natural piccy than the 500. If you're only watching SD then go for the PE50.
Ive noticed that to Rapid...it reminds me of good quality hifi equipment that sounds average until it is run in and then it really shows you what quality kit can do
