I have a problem with my SD, and I am not sure if it is LNB or receiver related - it keeps on stopping for a second and distoring including the sound going. It only does this for a couple of seconds but does it every 4 or 5 minutes + sometimes it lasts for about 10 seconds and it is realy annoying. This happens when the sky is clear or cloudy, in the day and the night.
Has anyone had a similar problem - and do they know if it is the LNB or the box ???

    cheers

This is very common. You need to test the box on a friend's system to see if it's faulty. If it works OK then you've narrowed the cause down to just the

    LNB faulty
    dish alignment
    cable/connectors faulty
    signal blocking (tree leaves?)
    local interference

Just take it logically to isolate the fault cause.
