Screwed again by Sky

    The story so far

    August Ordered Sky Plus
    November ???rang them where is it..???
    November - Re ordered as they had lost the order on the computer !
    November 20th ish - Sky to Fit, on day man comes at 15:00, sorry sir the box was stolen off the van ! - New installation booked
    December 2/12/01 Sun - SKy come round again, with a box, "Sorry sir im not allowed on the Roof"...where the existing Sky Digital box is...What about the side of the house???

    me "what 2 dishes???, Have a look at side of house". Im having an extension built the dish will currently be about 5 feet up !!!"

    Sky - "sory sir nothing i can do not allowed on roof..."


    Customer services - "Our special roof installation team (because this is not the norm) will be with you after Xmas probably in February ..."


    AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

    100% Quality service!

    So much for Xmas movies in DD5.1 through my THX system !

    That's your problem then, too loyal as a customer!

    Your problems are why I and I presume others installed their own Sky+. It isn't worth the hassle of dealing with Sky.

    Sorry to hear of your problems. Is it worth cancelling your order, getting the Sky+ box from elsewhere and installing it yourself? If you just want the 5.1 from the box there is no reason why they couldn't have just left the Sky+ box connected to a single LNB feed is there?

    Thats exactly what I want, but they refused to leave the box, swapping it for the existing one...

    Go to your nearest independent installer.
    He will gladly sell you a Sky+ box and install it for you without the cr*p you'll get from Sky direct.

    Skys customer care manager, a Carolyn Conner, will not takes complains over the phone.

    Thats what I was told by her assistant who then asked "can I help" and after 3 minutes put the phone down on me

    hmm customer care at its best !

    Well what do you expect from such obvious Simpsons-rip-off cartoon people working over at Sky HQ, with all those annoying little minidishes bouncing about all over the place?

    Our local independent dealer, 'D&C Satellites' of Disley, offer same day installation of Sky Digital/Sky+ if you phone before midday. This is the service we expect from a major company llike Sky and is how it should be. Why do Sky always make out they THEY are doing YOU a favour? God help us if ITV Digital does fold!
