I have a wall at the rear of my HC dedicated to stills from films I love. Many I can buy from various places (Starstore = Last Picture Show = Frames of mind is excellent) but some are more obscure and I've been trying to do screen captures from my PC's dvd and then print out. No luck- I just get black screens.

I've been using Cinemaster 2000 on Windows 2000, trying to screen capture with Paint Shop Pro 6. Any ideas? Thanks. I'm not an HC or PC newbie but PC video isn't really my field.

Try using Power DVD or Win DVD which have capture buttons to disk or clipboard.
That's how many of the screen captures in the DVD previews are done for this site.
They are very good quality indeed.
