Look at the hot deal price
the rrp is £1300 but the hot deal price is £999

    Original RRP - £1300

    Hot Deal - £999

HIFIBITZ are also doing these at £999. I think everyone is following suit, with the 5700 also going down to £2000

Time for Optoma to reply in kind? They seem to like being substantially cheaper than Infocus. And I like that too!

It would be nice, but then again the temptation to buy a H77 would just be too much to resist.

Dont get me wrong there are some good deals about, but currently a dealers definition of a good deal and mine are poles apart.

Mainly due to the fact that i have just spent a fair old bit to get my cellar converted and i also have a wedding to pay for this year. (Will just go and get the violin from my case :D )

:( I've just ordered the 4805 from my local Hifi dealer in Huddersfield. I al;ready feel I am paying above the odds compared to what I could have got stuff for online but was prepared to do so for the 'local dealer' contact re assurance. Now to see £300 off the price of a projector I only ordered on Saturday is gutting. I haven'ty handed over any cash yet..but I do have a printed receipt for the goods I have ordered..do I have any statutory rights to cancel? Please advise.

You could see if they offer a price match option, if not , tell them that you have seen it advertised for £999 and unless they can match this price, you unfortunately wil have to cancel your order. Don't let them try to tell you that the internet ones for £999 are grey imports or carry no warranty ( they will). You have every right to cancel your order and if you've not paid any deposit, then that is their problem for not taking one.
You have to think of yourself just as they are only thinking of themselves.

Oakley - I have paid a £200 deposit, but then I have ordered the 2805/2910 and Castle speakers from them also. I have not issues with keeping my order for these items open with them, but I do over a projector which is now selling for £300 cheaper. Do you think even though I have paid the deposit I still have a right to cancel the projector only?

This is really stressing me out.... it should be a happy exciting experience and it's turning into a big stress :(

The manufacturer themselves have reduced the MRSP of the 4805 to £999, so you have a fair argument that its not just online dealers who are knocking them out for this price.

Just explain the situation to him that the mf has dropped the price, with that and the other items you have purchased he should honor the lower price.

    Captain, Wedding is in Derby.

I am looking forward to when it is finally fully paid for as it is currently draining the funds.

I can then get back on track with a PJ upgrade, old romantic me :D

The night before the wedding all the bridesmaids etc are staying at our house so i have got to find alternative arrangements, perhaps the local youth hostel might put me up. So on the eve of our Wedding i cant play xbox in the Cinema Room with the lads (best man & ushers etc)

The night of the wedding i think it will be free, assuming all the guests can get a hotel room, so you might be okay :D

Huddrsfield Hi-Fi have, without question, dropped the price of my order to reflect the price change of the Infocus :smashin:

Absolutely 1st class service from a local dealer.

I haven't got my kit yet...but the service I have had so far has been excellent, I thoroughly recommend them for being so customer focused....

I'm now inclined to spend the £300 saved in their shop on a new record deck! Only need another £700 and I can buy a Mitchell Gyro :D

    sooo happy... :)

Just bought my SP4805 for £999 from Sevenoaks Sound and Vision. So looks like specialist shops are dropping too. Even though they still had it as £1300 on their system. Dealers will be taking the hit as will have bought stock at older prices. I'd rather buy from a shop when the price differential not too great to internet as the service is worth it.
