Screening thoughts!

I've just started looking at screens again after funds and iritation with my portable screen have both increased. Unfortunately my head is now spinning with the available options and the pitfalls associated. I'm projecting in a 100% light controlled environment using a NEC LT240 DLP and I'll be 14Ft away from the screen. What I have decided so far-

4:3 to match the projector
7-8 foot wide.
1.0 to 0.6 gain (LT240 is 1100 lumens and light controlled)
£800 budget
Black casing if possible

Any recomendations/Comments? I'm not sure whether 8 foot wide at 14 feet may be too large?

(Two posts two days must be overcoming my natural lurkyness!)

i am unsure of DLp. but if it were a crt model 14 feet you could have a 9 ft screen,
the calcualtion is 1.5 screen width to front of lens of projector,

i personally would not go over 8 ft from that distance, as it would be hurtful on the old eyes,
