    Hi,

It seems like for some reason the tubular motor gets overheated. This happens when you let the screen roll in or out continuously for over 3~4 minutes. What happens is that the motor becomes too hot and the proctection shut it down automatically.

This should not happen when your screen is working properly, because normally it doesn't take more than a 30 sec~ 1 minute (depending on the size of screen and the motor's speed) to roll in or out completely.

It might be that the noise you here is caused by some friction, which makes the motor work harder than it should, thus causing it to overheat.

In any case, if it is still under warranty, get it back to DRH or get a replacement.

    Good luck,

    Otto
