I have a screen for viewing but it is old and dirty. Does anyone know of a way to clean a screen, or is there a particular type of paint that can be applied to make the screen a clean white background?

When I was trying out different materials for my multi format screen conversion I had to remove adhesive from the screen many times. I found Pledge did the job best. I used quite a lot of it. Spray it on so that you have a creamy covering and leave it for about an hour. I used a blunt edged knife to scrape it off with the glue; like shaving it. Try it on a small area first to see how well it works. No point covering the screen with Pledge if it won't shift the dirt.
