Hi guys got a Beamax screen delivered a few weeks ago and when I put it up I noticed some of the material not sitting in the bottom bar correctly, bar has a scratch on the end too.

As the material is not evenly distributed in the bar it's curling at the end.

I have emailed Beamax a few time but getting no replies:confused:

Is this a manufacture fault and how serious is it ? ?

I got more pics on my Outbuilding thread http://www.avforums.com/forums/members-home-cinema-gallery/948417-outbuilding-cinema-games-room-7.html#post9581499

Have you tried contacting the dealer you purchased the screen from? In our experience Beamax are faultless when it comes to dealing with problems but would usually do it through the dealer rather than directly. They are currently catching up with emails after the longer (lucky people) bank holiday they have in Belgium.

Got to be honest - if you have the screen case installed dead horizontal (which is very important!) and that's a pic of the screen hanging under it's own weight then it's absolutely terrible!!!

That rippling on the screen surface will look awful on a panning shot - I'd do exactly as Ivojo say and get onto your dealer immediately - that needs replacing!

I got it direct from Beamax but Otto and the team are shockingly slow and distant, did'nt expect this kind of service once they had my money!!!

I did get a good deal on it but did'nt expect a damaged product or else would have stayed away

I notice a thread a few days ago with a similar problem in contacting them and they suggested using Twitter !?! I sent them numerous emails and phoned them what else do they want a customer to do but this fact also proves communication issues is not an isolated case, 2 members with the same problem can't be a coincedence.

I suggested using Twitter as a possible alternative means of contact as Otto has his own Twitter account as well as a "Beamax" Twitter account. I believe he keeps an eye on his personal one out of business hours so it may be worth contacting him that way.

Thanks for the info once again, just wish Beamax could make the effort

I would add that I have always found the backup and service from Beamax to be extremely good. Amazingly so considering the low cost of their products.

No dout its a professional company, I personally always judge an outfit on its attitude when there is a problem rather than a straight forward sale.

resent my emails again today let see if they get back to me this month.....
