is there any way to stop my FQ75 from changing its screen size when switching to the AV channel I have my DVD on (AV3)

whenever i go to that av channel it just seems to randomly switch, its now started when watching some SVCD and VCDs as well, even if i switch it back it changes again after about 5 mins.

the dvd player is a DAV550

    Cheers

Surely someone could at least suggest something here please :)

Basically, I have a DAV550 linked to a FQ75 using a QED svhs to scart lead.

When watching either VCD or SVCD the screen auto switches after 5 mins or so to 14:9 size cutting the top off the picture. Obviously this is immensely annoying and I would like to somehow stop it from happening if possible as it seems rather stupid.

Is there any way I can set the TV so that it will never change screen format? Is it something to do with the DVD player at all?

I had to have the DVD players firmware upgraded to fix the subtitle bug.

    Someone please help! :)

Try using composite, although using S-Video tp SCART perhaps somethine wrong with the SCART lead (12V signal wire)

    Have you got any DVD's?
