I've had my Panny 6 for a couple of months now. Recently its developed a buzz which changes pitch depending on the brightness of the image, white being the worst.

This occurs when fed from Sky+ via Scart and DVD via component to VGA.

Now I don't think my ears have suddenly tuned in to this. I sit approximately 3 metres from the screen and to be honest the noise spoils the whole thing.

Is it me! Have I developed bat hearing? Has anybody else had this problem and got it sorted?

    Thanks Mark

I certainly don't have to put my head round the back to hear the buzzing. That post doesn't mention if there's a change in pitch relative to whats on screen - do I have the same problem?

I recall seeing a post somewhere about changes in noise dependent on the picture, of course i can't find it now.

My panny 5 does the same thing with a pure white screen being the loudest buzz but you can only hear the buzz from about a foot away when there's nothing else on.Think i've been very lucky with mine,it's a year old with about 3000 hours on the clock and no dead or stuck pixels.

i must say over the last couple of days i have noticed the same problem. Some things that i do make a very loud buzz, and it is definately relative to a large solid colour on screen. I have never noticed this in 2 months i have had it and am wondering what i should do as when it happens it is a pain

I think contact the company who supplied it and complain.
Meanwhile. I'm nervous that I'll have the same problem in future! (Mine is OK for far, but I've had it only 1 month!).

PHD6 here - has low buzz that can be heard when I put my ear to the side of the display. Can't hear anything sitting down watching from 4 metres.

    Thanks for replies

I'm sure the noise on mine developed after two months. Oh well back to the shop, see what they say.
