    Guys,

I need to get a screen for my new PJ and was hoping for some advice.

I bought a DRH screen some time ago and was fairly happy with it. Good screen, good price etc.

The question I have is what would be a step up from that? The reason I ask is that whilst they were good enough I always had the feeling that they were a cheaper option and looked a little that way (as I said nothing wrong with the screens so no getting upset all you DRH fans!!).

I dont want to spend £1000 on a screen and am only looking for a manual pull down screen but there must be other better options!!

    Any thoughts??

    Cheers!

    Thanks for that Cap!

Cant really see any prices on the beamax site? Probably me....... Screens look quite nice though. I am guessing they would have to be shipped in?

Looking on the other site with things like Granview would they be any better than the DRH screens? Would love an Owl screen but couldnt justify spending £400 or so more than the PJ!!!

I had a grandview a couple of years back and I would say that it shades the DRH for quality, looks and feel. They are very good da-lite copies, a highly regarded american screen.

Beamax do get shipped in but it is only a matter of days.

www.discounttv.co.uk are an official UK stockist for Beamax so it may be worth getting in touch with them.

As for OWL. Well, definately great screens but yes, they do cost a lot of money.

Very similar in everyway. Casing is almost identical as is screen itself.

    Just depends on prices really.

Nice one. Have to say that the black casing is a nice touch. Well done to Beamax on delivering what punters want. Good service from Otto at Beamax once again.

Let us know your thoughts upon delivery and set up!

    Pete.

Screen arrived and installed. Must admit it looks way nicer than any of the other screens I have had.

Funny thing is it wasnt all that much more but looks in a different league!!
